I am still kind of reeling from my Disneyland finish the other day. At the beginning of the summer, we talked a lot about all of getting out of our comfort zone running-wise with enlisting in summer speed sessions. I am now a believer, the speed training really does work. I took 17 minutes of my half marathon PR...I finished in 2:14:41...my previous PR was 2:31. I went out there HOPING to break 2:30 and ended up breaking 2:15.
At the end of the summer, I had pretty much made up my mind that I was not going to do winter speed sessions, but I may need to give that a shot too. Please pass my thanks along to Drew.
