2017 Fall Half Marathon Training


 

Welcome to 2017 Fall Half Marathon Training!  As always we will offer several different programs to meet everyone's different goals and ability levels.  But a few things will remain the same between them all - a super fun and encouraging environment full of unique opportunities, best-in-town perks, and professional run and walk training.  With rotating training locations (Brentwood, Green Hills, Cool Springs) and other group run options during the week, we think we have the most versatile and PREMIUM training programs in town!  Check out all of the details below to see what program suits you best.  We are super excited for what the new season will bring with all of our incredible friends and participants!

Fall Half Marathon Program Details

  • Great gear provided by Mizuno Running 
  • Professionally designed and proven 12-week training schedule
  • We have the following running pace groups for the half marathon training...1:45, 1:55, 2:00. 2:10. 2:15, 2:20, 2:30, 2:45
  • We have the following run/walk interval groups for the half marathon training...1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 10:1 
  • YES! Walkers are welcome and have a dedicated walk pace group (Sexy Pace) 
  • Participants should be able to run/walk a minimum of three miles before training begins. 
  • Our programs are progressive in nature, with each week building upon the last - slow, steady and consistent!
  • Training Begins with a Kick Off Open House & Pace Group Meet and Greet Event on Saturday, August 12th at 7:00 in Brentwood. This is a great chance to gear up, ask questions, and get to know the routine before you start training.  Note this day is NOT a workout. 
  • First Official Group Workout is Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at the Brentwood Fleet Feet location.
  • Fully supported group long runs and walks complete with refueling stations, turn-by-turn routes, and our WORLD FAMOUS Pace Group Leaders!
  • Optional Saturday post-run informational clinics, injury screenings, product demos, taste testing and more - all in conjunction with our local community partners
  • Comprehensive weekly newsletter (a must-read to be "in the know" on the up coming week's training details, logistical information, group specials and events etc.)
  • Complete access to Training Program Coordinator, Head Coach, Pace Group Leaders and Fleet Feet Sports Owners and Managers (phone numbers, email, Facebook).  After all we are one big family and we are here for you!
  • Complete access to Results Physiotherapy, our trusted medical partners, including FREE injury prevention screenings scheduled throughout training

The cost for half marathon training is $85 through July 31st, and then $100 starting August 1st  (*Race registration is not included).

The week after the Indianapolis Marathon you are invited to our big post race celebration party! This party is all about celebrating you and your great accomplishment! Half Marathon More Info »

Program Start: August 19th
Program Schedule: Saturdays, 7am
Goal Race: Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon or other November Half Marathon
Program Fee: $85 until July 31st, $100 starting August 1st (excluding race entry fee)
Description: This program spans 12 weeks and includes weekly group workouts with mapped courses, pace leaders, fluids provided, along with a tech tee. The group workouts are every Saturday at 7 a.m., at locations in Brentwood, Franklin, Green Hills, and more!
