There is no one way to live a healthy lifestyle; it takes a lot of different things that contribute to our overall health. We are going to use this program to look at three different parts to living a healthy lifestyle; what you eat, how you move, and how you think. This program is structured around nutrition, complimenting it with movement in our day to day lives. The key to weight loss is understanding that nutrition and exercise are two separate entities that work together to create a balance for every individual. Whether you are looking to meet a performance goal or weight loss goal this session of Dare To Be Healthy can help you get there!

The program includes:

  • 8 weeks of weight loss accountability
    • Weekly weigh-ins at store of your choice (Brentwood, Green Hills, or Hendersonville)
    • First and last weigh-ins will include using a BIA scale to measure body fat percentage and muscle percentage, and measurements taken to show change on and off the scale (at Brentwood store only)
    • Receive a $25 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Sports Nashville once you complete 6 out of 8 weekly weigh-ins AND lose 2% of your body weight. (eg, a 200lb person has to lose 4lbs)
    • Receive a second $25 Gift Certificate to Fleet Feet Sports Nashville once you complete 6 out of 8 weekly weigh-ins AND if you lose at least 5% of your body weight. (eg, a 200lb person has to lose 10lbs)
  • Nutrition and wellness seminars to increase your health and wellness knowledge  
    • Why isn’t the scale moving? And what are other ways to track progress? What are you doing to sabotage your weight-loss, and what are some small changes to get that scale moving. Learn how to look for, and track non-scale victories.
    • How to read a nutrition label and best practices when eating out. What are the important things about the nutrition label that I need to focus on, and what does all of it mean? The nutrition label is changing, do you know what to look for? How to eat out and not fall off the wagon. What to eat, what to stay away from, and key menu words to look for to make the best choices at any restaurant. 
    • Portion Control: What does a serving size look like, and how can I incorporate this into my diet to see better results.
    • Putting Myself and My Health First: The importance of a healthy work/life balance, and why self-care is so important to staying healthy in your life.
